At Rutland Regional Medical Center, we're seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team as a Medical Assistant. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support our healthcare providers, and maintain a safe and clean environment.
About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual who is passionate about delivering top-notch care. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, assisting clinicians with medical procedures, and ensuring that examination rooms are well-stocked and ready for use.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in clerical and administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range of $17.46 - $25.91 per hour, depending on experience. This position offers a unique blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, making it an ideal choice for those looking to expand their skill set.

Requirements- High School graduate or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program preferred
- 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting, preferably
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association; Current nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification/Registered, or Vermont State LNA License preferred
- Ability to report patient care observations and deviations from patient plans under direct supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Moderate knowledge of basic computer skills and Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of infection control and venipuncture skills desirable
