Job Summary

TerranearPMC, LLC is seeking an experienced and skilled Field Instrumentation Technician to support our RCRA environmental remediation and compliance program work in New Mexico. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of water system operation and maintenance, with a focus on instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain water treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, meters, and ancillary equipment.
  • Keep and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance.
  • Develop and update piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), electrical drawings/schematics, and control documents.
  • Support facility access, permits, and notifications.
  • Collaborate with the Facility Operations Director to ensure smooth operations and avoid conflicts with other site activities.
  • Coordinate with site personnel and subcontractors conducting remediation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates adequate knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position's duties and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend technical instruction and training.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing skilled field work in pneumatic, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic circuitry repair, with a focus on instrumentation and field controls.
  • Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program or possession of a technical diploma or associate degree in electrical, instrumentation, or automation technology.
  • CPR and Basic First Aid Certificate.
  • OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER course completion, including annual 8-hr refresher.
