The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of water system operation and maintenance, with a focus on instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain water treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, meters, and ancillary equipment.
- Keep and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance.
- Develop and update piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), electrical drawings/schematics, and control documents.
- Support facility access, permits, and notifications.
- Collaborate with the Facility Operations Director to ensure smooth operations and avoid conflicts with other site activities.
- Coordinate with site personnel and subcontractors conducting remediation activities.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
- A combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates adequate knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position's duties and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend technical instruction and training.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience performing skilled field work in pneumatic, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic circuitry repair, with a focus on instrumentation and field controls.
- Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program or possession of a technical diploma or associate degree in electrical, instrumentation, or automation technology.
- CPR and Basic First Aid Certificate.
- OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER course completion, including annual 8-hr refresher.
- Negotiable annual salary terms within budgetary restraints.
