Job Title: Weapons Receipt Inspection Specialist

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a skilled Weapons Receipt Inspection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Production Quality Assurance Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of weapons receipt inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform weapons program receipt inspections to evaluate procured items and materials for conformance to technical and quality requirements.
  • Prepare inspection reports and nonconformance reports to document findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Weapons Production Agency peer organizations to resolve receipt inspection issues and activities.
  • Develop, review, and revise work instructions, procedures, and job aides to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Mentor and train lower-level receipt inspectors through the receipt inspector qualification process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as quality assurance, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance regulatory, contractual, and technical documents, including DOE Order 414.1D, 10 CFR 830, and NAP-401.1.
  • Experience with inspection principles and practices, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and measuring techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership and engagement of people, with strong interpersonal, communications, and team-building skills.
  • Experience with security software and the ability to utilize this software for preventative measures.
  • Knowledge of emerging computing technologies in the industry supporting Weapons Production organizations.
Work Environment:

The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
