Job Opportunity

AKPIRG is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join its team. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy, creating engaging digital content, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining AKPIRG's online presence, including social media and website content
  • Creating engaging digital assets, such as graphics and videos
  • Managing email communications and press relations strategy
  • Writing for diverse audiences, including elected officials, researchers, grantors, and the public

To succeed in this role, applicants should possess excellent writing and communication skills, experience in digital content creation, and strong project management abilities.

A successful applicant will have a strong ability to synthesize complex information, build trust with diverse stakeholders, and work effectively in a dynamic team environment. Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, Squarespace, Everyaction, and/or Asana are a plus.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000, based on industry standards and location. AKPIRG offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.
