We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team, working closely with the Communications Lead to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy. This role requires a strong background in project management, digital asset development, and writing for diverse audiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Creating engaging digital content
• Managing social media presence
• Maintaining our online platform
• Crafting compelling email communications
• Establishing and nurturing press relationships
• Writing for various stakeholders

A strong understanding of AKPIRG's mission and values, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment are essential. Occasional travel to Anchorage may be required for staff retreats, events, and other organizational activities.
