Program Director Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Program Director to lead our student-run radio station, KRUA 88.1 FM, at the University of Alaska.

  • Manage daily radio station operations, including staff supervision, programming, and content scheduling.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the radio station's reputation and engage the university community.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of the radio station's operations.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FCC regulations and broadcasting industry best practices.
  • Experience with audio production software, such as Adobe Audition or Audacity.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $12.77 and the opportunity to develop valuable skills in media management and leadership.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $26,519 - $32,388 per year (based on a 20-hour workweek).
