Job Overview

As an integral part of our organization, the Multinational Underwriting Supervisor will support the Multinational Underwriting Manager in driving profitable growth within the property and casualty sector. This role will focus on fostering and nurturing business relationships with brokers, clients, and other key stakeholders to ensure a steady influx of new business opportunities. The Multinational Underwriting Supervisor will also play a vital role in mentoring and developing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in achieving the strategic objectives of the Multinational segment business plan. The Supervisor will oversee a team of Underwriters, manage production underwriting, and maintain both new and renewal Multinational accounts within a designated region. Furthermore, the Supervisor will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients in the assigned area to ensure ongoing business opportunities while representing all Multinational segments and offerings.
  • Promote and represent all Chubb Multinational segments and business solutions, with a particular emphasis on Commercial Accounts clients with substantial international exposure.
  • Generate new business prospects within the designated territory.
  • Assess, select, underwrite, price, quote, and manage new and renewal business.
  • Coordinate the implementation of bound accounts with the Chubb Overseas General group.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies in collaboration with brokers and clients in the region.
  • Collaborate with other Chubb production units to identify opportunities for account expansion.
  • Retain existing accounts through active involvement in the Chubb Stewardship process.
  • Comply with Chubb standards regarding pricing and service delivery.
  • Engage in product line initiatives as necessary.
  • Provide monthly production forecasts to the Manager.
  • Ensure accurate policy issuance and execution of other account agreements, including the implementation of foreign policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 8 years of underwriting experience.
  • Familiarity with Controlled Master Programs and principles of international casualty underwriting is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate and develop Controlled Master Program submissions.
  • Outstanding sales and marketing capabilities.
  • Primarily local travel required.
  • Advanced computer proficiency preferred.
  • Knowledge and expertise in technical issues, compliance, coverage, products, and pricing strategies are expected.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $102,000 and $168,000, depending on the applicant's skills and other relevant factors.
