The Community You Will Serve:
AdventHealth Daytona Beach Cancer Institute

Your Role:


Contribute to the quality care of our patients by delivering medical physics services that meet or exceed state and federal regulations, as well as national standards in radiation oncology.


Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Assists in managing the radiation safety program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and certifying bodies, training staff, and overseeing source ordering, handling, waste management, and disposal
  • Actively engages in the development of new programs and technologies, including information management, treatment planning, and innovative modalities
  • Conducts weekly chart reviews and other assessments of treatment plans
  • Executes dosimetric calculations for external beam, brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceutical therapies
  • Provides medical physics consultations to physicians, staff, and patients as required, including radiation safety guidance for patients and their families
Qualifications Required for Success:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Medical Physics
  • A minimum of five years of clinical experience in radiation therapy physics
  • Current active state licensure or registration (as mandated by state regulations governing Radiation Oncology Practice) in Therapeutic Medical Physics
  • Current certification from the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics in Therapeutic Medical Physics
