Financial Manager Job Description

At Tetra Tech, we are seeking a highly motivated Financial Manager to join our Accounting Operations team in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will provide support on various federal contracts, including CPFF, T&M, FFP, and hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Reviews and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DFAR, EPAAR, and FTR regulations.
  • Cost Estimate Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for contracts, including CPFF, T&M, FFP, and hybrid.
  • Government Counterpart Collaboration: Work closely with government counterparts to resolve contractual issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Profit/Unbilled Analysis: Provide timely and accurate profit/unbilled analysis to program managers, ensuring optimal project performance.
  • Contract and FAR Research: Conduct research and provide guidance on contract and FAR-related matters to support contract management.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate financial reports, including contractually required reports, to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Subcontractor Guidance: Provide guidance and templates to subcontractors to ensure compliant billing and invoicing.
  • Cost Proposal Preparation: Assist in the preparation of review cost proposals in compliance with solicitation instructions or contract-related order bids.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working in the financial area of government contracts.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, DFAR, EPAAR, and FTR regulations.
  • Skills: Strong Excel, Word, and Adobe skills, with Oracle systems background preferred.
