Staff Accountant/AR Specialist

PaneraTech is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant/AR Specialist to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, processing vendor bills, and ensuring timely cash collections.
Key Responsibilities- Record and manage customer invoices, maintaining accurate accounts receivable records
- Process vendor bills and ensure all transactions are accurately posted to the correct general ledger accounts
- Perform credit card reconciliations and ensure proper coding for each transaction listed in Expensify
- Assist the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end closing processes, enforcing a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate with payroll consultants for the timely preparation of timecards and payroll reports, and manage specific financial operations and projects as directed by the Financial Controller
- Contribute to the timely reporting of all monthly financial information and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for all financial operations
- Handle daily banking requirements, transaction processing, and assist with monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities to ensure they are performed accurately and on time
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial information, supporting overall department goals and objectives from a financial perspective, and managing expenses
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and provide analytical support for financial projects and initiatives
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, and participate in financial audits
- Handle ad-hoc financial requests and queries from management
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in an accounting role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Desirable to have experience with Microsoft Dynamics
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Experience with full cycle AR process desirable
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
