Hotel Front Desk Associate Job Description

At Fairfield Inn & Suites Hilliard West Columbus, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Associate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Answer and process all phone calls, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Handle special requests for services or information, adhering to standard policies and procedures.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining a positive reputation for the hotel.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of the time of day.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, services, room rates, special packages, and promotions.
  • Process all guest check-ins, verifying registration card information and obtaining back-up information for guest credit/payment methods.
  • Direct Bell Persons to escort guests and transport their luggage to the room.
  • Handle overbooked or walk-in guests, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Accept and record wake-up call requests, monitor, send, and distribute guest faxes, and communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel.
  • Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping and match the bucket check to the in-house guest ledger report.
  • Process all check-outs, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 2 Years of Marriott Hotel Experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a hotel front desk associate is required.
