Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support for HR functions, including payroll, timecard enforcement, and personnel file maintenance, under the supervision of the Area HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Area HR Manager on employee relations issues and staffing objectives.
  • Process various reports and focus on administrative tasks associated with HR reporting, policy, and procedure.
  • Act as a liaison for employee relations questions and concerns, leaves of absence, paid time off, workers' compensation, etc.
  • Assist with interviews, investigations, disciplinary actions, and provide HR support at the store level.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups, including store managers, human resources, training, and payroll.
  • Provide training for Human Resources Associates on HR processes and procedures, employment laws, recruiting, etc.
  • Advise the Store Manager on workforce planning.
  • Support recruiting for the store by developing and maintaining professional relationships with external sources to generate applicant flow.
  • Utilize recruiting tools and employ talent acquisition strategies to source external candidates.
  • Follow up with and track all aspects of employment, including completing employment forms, conducting orientations, and notifying departments of new hire starting dates.
  • Assist with all recruitment efforts, including setting up and participating in on-site and external job fairs.
  • Support in the posting and updating of open positions on internal and external job boards.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
  • Support multiple locations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of human resources administration or related experience.
  • Experience in retail preferred.
  • Strong MS Office proficiency.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and Human Resources systems (Workday strongly preferred).
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment law, recruitment, and employment practices, Equal Employment Opportunity regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Travel may be required (10-25%).
