Position Overview:
This role involves engaging with members to address their consumer lending requirements in a professional and efficient manner. You will assess lending applications and provide informed credit decisions or recommendations aligned with lending policies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with members to gather essential information regarding their financial needs and conditions.
- Analyze members' financial situations to evaluate the risks associated with extending credit.
- Present and explain various lending options available to members, making tailored recommendations based on their specific needs.
- Make informed decisions to approve or decline loan applications, or seek supervisory input when necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation in the internal system for each member interaction.
- Be prepared to work extended hours as required by business needs.
- Achieve or surpass sales targets for additional Credit Union products, including Credit Life and Disability Insurance, Visa accounts, and other services.
- Engage in activities aimed at sales development.
- Stay updated on all Credit Union policies and comply with relevant state and federal lending regulations.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of two years of sales experience in a financial services environment with proven success.
- At least two years of experience in lending.
- Proficiency in operating loan processing systems and related software.

Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of consumer lending policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with effective organizational skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects within designated timeframes.

Physical Requirements:
To perform this role effectively, the employee must be capable of fulfilling essential job duties satisfactorily. This includes the ability to communicate effectively, whether in person or through technology. The position typically involves working in an office environment, requiring the employee to sit or stand for various periods and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
