Position Overview
Graduate Hotels is in search of a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee operations at Graduate Madison, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities
In the absence of the Director of Engineering, the Supervisor will take charge of the administrative, financial, and operational duties of the Engineering department.

1. Foster a positive work environment for the engineering team, guiding staff in equipment maintenance and repair while encouraging input and suggestions.
2. Monitor ALICE Metrics and regularly review the "Maintenance and Housekeeping Top 20's Report" to identify defects and develop proactive strategies for addressing common issues in guest accommodations through a robust Preventative Maintenance Process.
3. Track ALICE Response Time metrics and enhance operational efficiency by creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for training and reporting.
4. Ensure compliance with proactive preventative maintenance programs, covering essential equipment such as laundry machines, HVAC systems, and fire safety devices.
5. Conduct inspections, repairs, and general maintenance across guest units, public areas, and facilities.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools for troubleshooting and repairing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
7. Address plumbing issues including pipes, drains, and fixtures, ensuring functionality and safety.
8. Identify and resolve electrical problems related to equipment and fixtures.
9. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies and managing work order assignments for completed and pending tasks.
10. Prioritize and execute work orders efficiently, monitoring for deficiencies.
11. Oversee swimming pool and spa maintenance in accordance with health regulations and brand standards.
12. Maintain the hotel's exterior and grounds to uphold curb appeal.
13. Collaborate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and address concerns.
14. Educate hotel staff on emergency protocols and safety measures.
15. Support the Director of Maintenance in training and supervising Maintenance Technicians on daily repairs and engineering needs.
16. Participate in regular property inspections to identify and rectify deficiencies promptly.
17. Act as a key member of the emergency response team, specializing in life safety protocols.
18. Maintain an understanding of engineering records and filing systems to support budgetary and safety inspections.
19. Assume Manager on Duty responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications
- High School diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance role, ideally within the hospitality sector.

Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of college or trade school experience in mechanical, electrical, or technical fields.

- Proficient in basic mathematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership capabilities.
- Commitment to exceeding guest and team expectations.
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with software tools such as Alice and other technology platforms.
