Position Overview
Graduate Hotels is in search of a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the engineering team and ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
In the absence of the Director of Engineering, the Supervisor will take charge of the administrative, financial, and operational functions of the Engineering department.
Maintain high morale among the engineering staff by providing guidance on equipment maintenance and repair, encouraging input from team members, and effectively coaching or counseling staff.

Monitor ALICE Metrics and regularly review the "Maintenance and Housekeeping Top 20's Report" to identify defects and develop proactive strategies to address the most frequently reported issues in guest accommodations through a structured Preventative Maintenance Process.

Track ALICE Response Time metrics and enhance operational efficiency by creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including training programs and reporting systems.
Ensure adherence to proactive preventative maintenance programs that meet brand standards, covering areas such as laundry equipment, HVAC systems, fire safety equipment, and plumbing.
Conduct inspections, repairs, and general maintenance across guest units, facilities, pools, and communal areas.
Possess a solid understanding of hand and power tools, and demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
Handle plumbing maintenance tasks including pipes, drains, faucets, and fixtures.
Identify and resolve electrical issues related to equipment, fixtures, and outlets.
Assist the Director of Maintenance in managing inventory and work order systems for completed and pending tasks.
Prioritize and address work orders promptly while monitoring all deficiencies.
Ensure that swimming pool and spa maintenance is performed in accordance with brand standards and health regulations.
Maintain the aesthetic appeal of hotel grounds and building exteriors.
Support other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving concerns.
Educate hotel staff on emergency protocols and safety measures.
Assist the Director of Maintenance in training and supervising Maintenance Technicians in daily repairs and engineering needs.
Participate in regular property inspections and address identified deficiencies in a timely manner.
Act as a member of the emergency response team and become knowledgeable about life safety protocols.
Understand the engineering documentation and filing systems to support the Rooms and Maintenance Budget, Preventative Maintenance Programs, Capital Budget, and Safety Inspections.
Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned.
Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications
High School diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance role, ideally within the hospitality sector.

Preferred Qualifications
Two years of college or trade school experience in mechanical, electrical, or technical fields.
