Overview:

The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation of the Davis Lynch product range, including stage tools and packers, at various operational sites. This role requires a deep understanding of troubleshooting methodologies, performing necessary calculations, and possessing knowledge of cement delivery systems and pressure measurement techniques. The technician will assist in the installation of tools and equipment at drilling locations while adhering to all company and client protocols. Responsibilities include ensuring the correct equipment is delivered, verifying tool specifications, and conducting necessary tests and calibrations. Exceptional customer service is paramount, including addressing inquiries and providing detailed technical support through Forum's established guidelines and personal expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies consistently.
  • Be prepared for travel and punctuality at operational sites.
  • Execute precise calculations and fulfill additional requirements as directed.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including detailed job records and on-site safety assessments.
  • Work independently while following all company and client policies and regulations.
  • Exhibit a proactive attitude, demonstrating a willingness to learn and collaborate effectively.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for equipment usage.
  • Ensure work assignments are completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by supervisors, which may include warehouse duties, health and safety responsibilities, and operational training.
  • Possess knowledge of cement delivery systems, pressure measurement, and associated tools.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen attention to detail and thorough reporting practices.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets, and the ability to navigate GPS systems.
  • Familiarity with oil field drilling terminology and operational processes.
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems, cement delivery, and casing tools.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
Educational Background:
  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • Technical training or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is required.
