We cater to a wide range of clients, including Operators and General Contractors, primarily within the upstream and midstream oil and gas markets. This role is primarily field-based.

Position Summary

The Service Technician will operate within the Completion Services Division, responsible for executing assigned tasks under the guidance of the Lead Service Technician, Service Supervisor, Project Manager, or other management personnel. The technician will be operationally qualified and authorized for specific tasks, and may oversee limited scope projects in the absence of senior personnel, with prior approval. Key responsibilities include the installation and retrieval of Permanent Gauge Systems, Control Lines, TEC & Flatpack, Fiber Optics, Chemical Injection Systems, and ESP Cable. The technician is expected to conduct all activities with accountability, respect, and professionalism, adhering to BlueFin's quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel across the United States, often requiring overnight stays.
  • Execute field services as directed, following specific project plans and standard operating procedures.
  • Report directly to Lead Service Technicians and Service Supervisors during field operations.
  • Service, maintain, repair, and test equipment/tools for pre/post job requirements or as directed.
  • Contribute to the development of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for assigned tasks.
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment as necessary.
  • Acquire knowledge of all field service operations and equipment to enhance skills and expertise.
  • Engage in training on additional product lines and services to broaden capabilities.
  • Adhere to BlueFin's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and Quality Management System.
  • Comply with all company policies, including safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
  • Be available for 24-hour on-call duty, excluding scheduled vacations.
  • Maintain reliable transportation to and from the BlueFin office.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-4 years of experience in Completions Services preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain necessary training certifications.
  • Class A CDL is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must successfully complete a Fit for Duty examination.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in challenging environments, both on land and offshore.
