Job Title:
Multimedia Systems Engineer

Reports to:
General Manager

Position Overview:


Accountable for comprehending and delineating the technical parameters of PCD initiatives, collaborating with preliminary project documentation to define, document, and secure endorsement of the operational solution PCD will deploy in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulate, present, and obtain consultant/customer endorsement of project documentation including:
Site Layouts

Functional block diagrams for all systems

Structural support for all apparatus

Engineering stamps where necessary

Specifications and coordination for video projectors, lenses, lifts, and screens

Construction drawings

Inventory of equipment

Equipment Specification Sheets

"Specials" list of alternatives and modifications

Ensure custom component design and procurement including
AV panels

Patch panels

Multi-channel connectors and cabling

Custom mounting solutions and hardware

Conduct project support activities including
Wiring lists

Construction Set drawings for technicians and installers

Resolution of installation issues

Adherence to project timelines as set by the Project Manager

Assist field personnel in job execution

Project Finalization including
As-built drawing sets

Archiving of project engineering data

Maintain effective communication with A/V Consultants, General Contractors, architects, electricians, and all PCD personnel
Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

Skills:

A strong collaborator with the capacity to review the designs of fellow engineers in the department, exceptional interpersonal communication skills, well-organized, and capable of meeting stringent deadlines.


Knowledge:
Background in engineering. Familiarity with electronic circuits and mechanical frameworks. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Proficient in computer applications including AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and SAGE 100. Ability to interpret plans and blueprints. Drafting skills and strong mathematical knowledge. Experience in Audio/Video is essential.

Degrees/Certificates:
Engineering degree or engineering technician degree with relevant practical experience preferred.

Job Experience:
Minimum of 5 years related experience.

Work Environment:
Office environment, with occasional visits to job sites where multiple trades are engaged.

Salary - $90,000 annually.
