Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our 122-bed, general acute care community hospital in west-central Connecticut.
Key Highlights:
- Work in a state-of-the-art clinical environment with our Pulmonary and Critical Care team.
- Practice in an inpatient high acuity setting, providing care to patients on a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Admit and round on inpatients under the supervision of a physician, evaluating patient status through complete history and physical exam.
- Order lab tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Initiate and write orders for patient care, including nursing, nutrition, IV therapy, medications, and dressing changes.
- Work with a diverse patient census, including general critical care, pulm critical care, and surgical critical care.

About the Role:
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our Pulmonary and Critical Care team to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Connecticut.
- Experience working in an acute care setting, preferably in critical care.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
