Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology Critical Care team at Hartford Hospital. As a critical care provider, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care to critically ill patients admitted to our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and/or Cardiac Step-Down Unit.
Responsibilities- Provide holistic and evidence-based care to critically ill patients, including those requiring Therapeutic Hypothermia, STEMI, TAVR, VAD, ECMO, and other cardiogenic shock therapies.
- Support patients across the care continuum, working collaboratively with specialty teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, medical history, and current health status.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, including ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and consulting with specialists as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

- 1+ years' experience in a critical care setting
