Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a skilled Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Surgical Critical Care team at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement critical care plans for surgical, trauma, and neurosurgical patients
- Perform invasive procedures, including central/arterial/dialysis lines, and assist with percutaneous tracheostomy/gastrostomy tubes
- Coordinate care with consulting services and participate in the teaching of surgical residents, medical students, and PA students
- Provide 24-7 coverage of the SICU, including shared responsibility on overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Board certification and active State of Connecticut license
- Acute Care training and certification for Nurse Practitioners, with previous ICU experience and a minimum of two years of NP experience
- Strong interest in critical care and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical critical care environment
