Job Summary

Oceaneering is a global leader in engineered services and products for the offshore energy industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to join our team in managing and carrying out survey projects in the field.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Coordinating and communicating with clients, crew members, and project managers to ensure effective project execution
  • Conducting daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safety pre-tower meetings to ensure a safe working environment
  • Managing offshore operations, including personnel, daily progress, and asset utilization
  • Training and adhering to OII, DOTD, or client company-specific requirements
  • Managing and carrying out specific job tasks as requested by clients or project managers
  • Complying with company safety rules and training, conducting operations safely, and reporting any unsafe conditions or practices immediately to their supervisor
  • Responsible for the care and safety of company equipment
  • Training of fellow field personnel

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:


  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience as a Surveyor II level in the Marine Construction/Survey & Positioning Survey field
  • Proficiency in a variety of field concepts, practices, procedures, and equipment operations such as GPS, Navigation Software, USBL, and scanning sonar
  • A valid driver's license and suitable driving record that meets company driver requirements
  • A TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, major survey equipment manufacturer's software, and equipment

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFSHORE, which involves working outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water. The successful candidate will be required to work on or near moving and vibrating equipment, in environments with high humidity, noise, and light intensity.


Physical Activity/Requirements

The physical demands of this role include lifting, sitting, twisting, crawling, climbing stairs/ladders, and using repetitive movements of the arms and hands. The successful candidate will be required to operate small water vessels or ATVs, wear PPE for head, hands, body, vision, and hearing protection, and have a good sense of direction.
