Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate project survey needs and contribute to the formulation of a comprehensive plan for executing necessary activities, which includes defining the scope of work, scheduling key tasks, budgeting, and identifying required resources.
  • Effectively implement project execution plans, overseeing scope management, schedule updates, budget adherence, and personnel management.
  • Request the assignment of appropriate personnel and equipment to fulfill survey requirements.
  • Guide survey staff on TRC values, safety protocols, and project timelines, ensuring clarity in task assignments and documentation requirements.
  • Monitor survey personnel performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications and addressing any discrepancies in work scope or budget.
  • Review survey data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized documentation systems for efficient retrieval of project records.
  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, Survey Director, and Client Representatives regarding survey progress and challenges.
  • Oversee the review and approval of time and expense reports submitted by survey personnel.
  • At project completion, supervise the preparation and submission of comprehensive documentation to the Survey Director and Client Representatives.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Serve as the manager and supervisor for survey teams assigned to projects, ensuring effective performance and addressing any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Cartography, or related fields preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of surveying experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Proficient in cross-country pipeline surveying techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in GPS survey methods and electronic data collection processes.

Licensing:

Must hold a Registered Professional Land Surveyor license in Texas; Louisiana licensure is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to traverse various terrains, sometimes covering several miles daily.

Work Environment:

  • Fieldwork in diverse outdoor settings, including extreme weather conditions and varied landscapes.
