Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and oversee all claims; collaborate with brokers to ensure appropriate settlements.
- Proactively renew all expiring insurance policies; provide necessary underwriting information to brokers and insurers; manage certificates of insurance and coordinate with existing Evonik programs.
- Offer insurance guidance to internal stakeholders (legal department, business units) on insurance and risk management issues.
- Work closely with brokers on all insurance-related matters.
- Coordinate with brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators regarding all Workers' Compensation claims.
- Make decisions regarding repairs for all physical damage to fleet vehicles.
- Oversee the premium allocation process for Evonik's business units.
- Maintain an electronic database of insurance policies, renewal activities, and claims.
- Supervise and mentor the Assistant Risk Manager; provide daily direction and assign projects.
- Lead the Region Fleet Safe Driving Committee.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Insurance or Business Administration.
- 5-8 years of experience in Risk Management.
- Strong judgment and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capability to execute plans effectively.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Familiarity with risk management techniques and concepts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage work with minimal supervision; excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility.
- Ability to initiate and coordinate projects.
