Position Overview


Norgate Technology is seeking a dedicated Internal Auditor to join our Finance & Administration team. This role is pivotal in executing our annual risk-based audit strategy, which encompasses operational, financial, and compliance audits across various departments and functions.

Key Responsibilities


The Internal Auditor will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of audits, which includes:

  • Initiating audits and conducting statistical sampling
  • Performing thorough testing and negotiating corrective actions
  • Drafting comprehensive audit reports (90% of the role)

Additionally, the role includes:

  • Reviewing accounting processes and managing volunteer relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Spotting system and process inefficiencies and recommending enhancements
Special Projects & Administrative Duties


10% of the role will involve:

  • Managing Conflict of Interest reporting
Qualifications


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting is required


Work Experience:

  • 2-4 years of auditing experience in Public or Internal Audit is required


Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct audits across various processes and evaluate compliance with policies and procedures
  • Strong commitment to enhancing the internal audit function's value to the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Capability to build rapport with employees at all levels and effectively communicate findings to management
  • Technologically proficient, with strong skills in Google Apps and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks and Oracle is a plus
