Job Description

At Sterling Initiatives, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization's strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing our programs, financial management, organizational growth, and community engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Board Governance & Support: Act as a key advisor to the Board of Directors, providing relevant information for decision-making and policy development.
  • Financial Performance & Management: Lead fundraising efforts, identifying new revenue streams to sustain our mission and programs.
  • Membership & Program Support: Manage membership records, including the Constitution, Bylaws, Amendments, and other organizational documents.
  • Community & Public Relations: Represent Sterling Initiatives to external stakeholders, including community leaders, medical schools, governmental agencies, and the media.
  • Human Resources & Operations Management: Oversee the recruitment, development, and evaluation of Sterling Initiatives staff to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, membership-based organization, or similarly related fields
  • Strong background in fundraising, strategic planning, and financial management
  • Knowledge of undergraduate medical education, healthcare industry, nonprofit advocacy, and community health issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and stakeholders
