Key Responsibilities
- Gather and record patient medical histories
- Adhere to the AVP care-pathing model
- Assess visual acuity
- Familiarize yourself with basic medical ICD-10 codes
- Understand various insurance plans
- Utilize lensometers (both manual and automatic)
- Maintain inventory in clinical rooms
- Manage scheduling tasks
- Conduct monthly chart audits
- Handle medication refills
- Administer prescribed eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions
- Perform office duties and clinical tasks, including data entry into EMR and providing patient services
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation for travel to different locations
- Flexibility to work at various sites
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Willingness to seek guidance in unfamiliar areas
- Capability to identify inconsistencies
- High School diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred
- Billing and Coding Certification to be obtained within 1-2 years of employment
- OSC Certification required within the first year
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation, including using power tools and lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Willingness to undergo a background check

Physical and Cognitive Requirements
