Job Title: Ophthalmologist, Oculoplastic

Job Summary:

The Department of Ophthalmology at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery to join our team. As an academic physician, you will be responsible for direct patient care and supervision in three outpatient settings, including the Main Campus, Richmond V.A. Medical Center, and suburban ASC locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high clinical and ethical standards in patient care and decision-making processes.
  • Adhere to compliance measures and establish a collaborative practice environment.
  • Foster a high level of patient and staff satisfaction.
  • Work effectively with residents and certified ophthalmic medical technicians to provide patient care and ancillary testing.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology with ASOPRS Fellowship training.
  • Eligibility for, or a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills.
  • Demonstrate expertise working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
