Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Craftsman to join our team at Fab Tex. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for work, performing body repairs, and refinishing vehicles to pre-repair condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare vehicles for work in accordance with industry standards.
  • Perform body repairs on cars, vans, pick-ups, and trucks, including fiberglass, combo repairs, dent repair, quarter panel replacement, and bondo work.
  • Effectively communicate with management if any additional repairs are needed or if difficulties arise.
  • Refinish all assigned vehicles to pre-repair condition according to the written work-order while effectively diagnosing and refinishing vehicles thoroughly and safely.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in body work or autobody painting.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, motivation, focus, and organization.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, but not mandatory).
  • Great communication skills within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop without sacrificing quality of work.
Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, grasping tools, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting for an extended time period, lifting/moving up to 25 lbs, and having good vision.

The work environment is a large facility with overhead cranes.

Schedule:

Full Time: Mon - Fri 7am- 5:30pm

Part Time (Day or Night) - Times are flexible but requires a minimum of three days per week.
