Senior Estimator – Specializing in Concrete, Waterproofing, and Related Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to become a vital part of our esteemed construction services firm, focusing on concrete, waterproofing, expansion joints, and patching/caulking. Our commitment to excellence drives us to find an individual who can contribute significantly to our project outcomes.

In the role of Senior Estimator, your primary responsibility will be to create precise and comprehensive cost estimates for projects centered around concrete applications, waterproofing solutions, expansion joints, and patching caulking. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all estimates are detailed and competitive, playing a crucial role in the company's success. Experience in concrete and waterproofing is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate thorough and precise cost estimates for projects involving concrete, waterproofing, expansion joints, and patching caulking.
  • Examine project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify the scope of work and necessary materials.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to formulate comprehensive estimates.
  • Investigate and source material, labor, and equipment costs to ensure estimates are reflective of current market conditions.
  • Assess and analyze subcontractor bids to ensure they meet project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Draft bid proposals, budgets, and schedules, ensuring all estimates are competitive and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Engage in pre-bid meetings, site evaluations, and client presentations to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain meticulous records of estimates, proposals, and project data for future reference and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, particularly in concrete, waterproofing, expansion joints, and patching caulking projects.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar applications.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards related to concrete and waterproofing.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
