We are currently in search of a motivated and results-oriented Lead Cost Estimator to join our expanding team. This is a full-time hybrid role that will support projects of various scales across all market sectors. Key Responsibilities of the Lead Cost Estimator:
  • Develop estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all stages of project development.
  • Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-offs, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as needed.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all documentation and create comprehensive cost estimates/models that align with the client's project and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure a high-quality deliverable is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures.
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals.
  • Actively research, solicit, and cultivate sources/vendors to compile and maintain accurate cost information.
  • Oversee, mentor, and develop other Estimators within the region.
  • Support business development initiatives by creating, promoting, and maintaining client relationships through the development of cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.
Desired Experience for the Lead Cost Estimator:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in cost estimating for vertical construction and engineering projects, encompassing areas such as conceptual estimates, take-offs, change order analysis, and value engineering.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction documents accurately across all design stages.
  • Skilled in using On-Screen Takeoff (OST), MCACES, Destini, or similar industry software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; alternatively, 5 additional years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree.
