This position is for an Electrical Cost Estimator with a prominent contractor in the industry. We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

About the Role:
The Electrical Cost Estimator will report directly to the Pre-Construction Manager and will be tasked with overseeing and enhancing estimating functions within the organization. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Managing and executing estimating activities for various projects.
  • Coordinating with engineering teams to ensure accurate cost assessments.
  • Acquiring material quotes and evaluating permit costs.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Cost Estimator, your duties will include:

  • Planning and organizing estimating activities to ensure efficiency.
  • Developing systems to track and verify the accuracy of estimates.
  • Collaborating with project teams to create comprehensive design-build proposals.
  • Participating in pre-bid and job planning meetings to provide necessary estimates.
  • Engaging in recruitment and development of skilled personnel.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in managing bids and proposals from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents and the ability to interpret drawings.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and MS Office applications.
  • Understanding of electrical design principles and cost estimation.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directives with minimal supervision.
