POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking multiple part-time Receptionists to join our team on an as-needed basis.

Company Overview: The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County is dedicated to supporting, coordinating, and advocating for the arts and culture within our community. Operating public arts facilities is one of the key ways we provide assistance and service to our cultural partners and the broader public.

Position Type: Part-time; hourly; non-exempt; reports to the Event and Venue Manager. Hourly Compensation: $11.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all individuals entering the facility have legitimate reasons for their visit.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of the building and parking area.
  • Assist patrons by directing them to appropriate locations and providing requested information.
  • Oversee surveillance camera operations.
  • Document incidents and maintain opening and closing reports accurately.
  • Perform occasional housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down activities when required.
  • Manage the opening procedures of the facility.
  • Deactivate alarms, unlock public entrances, activate lights, and document any unsecured areas.
  • Supervise the closing procedures of the facility.
  • Secure public entrances, deactivate lights, check restrooms, complete checklists, and activate alarms.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to provide professional and courteous service to the public while upholding facility guidelines.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including availability on weekends and evenings.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand for extended periods in various weather conditions and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
