Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Calibration Specialist to join our team at KBR. As a Calibration Specialist, you will be responsible for performing calibration, adjustments, and possible repairs on commercially off the Shelf (COTS) Produced and customer-built test equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and certify Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
  • Utilize certified laboratory standards and manufacturer, commercial, or military specifications/calibration procedures.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot fault isolation, adjustment, and repairs using TMDE certified laboratory standards.
  • Troubleshoot/repair complex TMDE and integrated electronic systems.
  • Utilize theories of operation, block diagrams, schematics, logic trees, and software diagnostics.
  • Accurately record/report maintenance actions using applicable maintenance data collection.
  • Resolve group and customer issues.
  • Seek to improve the overall productivity of the department.
  • Anticipate problems and initiate appropriate actions to eliminate them.

Requirements

  • AS degree or applicable Technical training and certifications.
  • Requires completion of formal training from a military, PMEL, TMDE or calibration school.
  • 4+ years of directly related experience.
  • Provides advanced technical/electronic and instrumentation equipment repair work, troubleshooting, modifying, testing, calibrating, adjusting, repairing, and installing electronic, digital and analog equipment and monitoring devices.
  • U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.
  • Proficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The Ideal Candidate would possess 3 years experience in RF calibrations.
  • IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal experience a plus.
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus.
