Position: IT Field Specialist

As a vital member of the IT Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting various IT operations across our expanding locations. Work Location
  • Various locations within the region
  • Travel to different sites as required
Work Schedule
  • 40 hours per week
  • Primarily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Occasional evening shifts starting at closing time (9-10 PM) for a few hours
  • Potential for extended hours, including weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
  • Addressing support requests from team members
  • Communicating with clients to determine the nature of technical issues
  • Traveling to various locations or providing assistance remotely
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software challenges
  • Installing and maintaining computer hardware and peripherals
  • Upgrading operating systems and software applications
  • Resolving networking and connectivity problems
  • Advising on potential software or hardware enhancements
  • Providing foundational training on computer usage and management
  • Documenting service requests and incidents
  • Assisting in the creation of technical documentation for both helpdesk and end-users
  • Performing additional tasks as needed to support the company's mission
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or Support Technician
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware systems and peripherals
  • Familiarity with popular operating systems, software applications, and remote access tools
  • Ability to resolve complex hardware and software issues
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
