Overview:
Join a dedicated team in a 56-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional care for both low birth weight and full-term infants. Our unit is characterized by a strong multidisciplinary approach to quality improvement, an active family advisory council, and vibrant unit-based practice councils.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a NICU setting is essential.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Focus on goals and outcomes.
  • Proven leadership skills or experience as a Charge Nurse.
  • Completion of all orientation programs is necessary.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Current Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position.
  • Evening shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:30 AM.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • May require on-call duties, weekend shifts, and holiday work.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Nurse Manager in ensuring that high-quality nursing care is provided to all patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Contribute to the development of patient care standards, orientation, and ongoing education. Provide input for staff performance evaluations in line with organizational policies. Engage in nursing quality improvement initiatives. Support unit administration tasks, including scheduling, payroll, and inventory management. Maintain and exemplify the clinical skills necessary for patient care. Utilize knowledge of growth and development principles to assess and address each patient's unique needs. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, laws, and regulations.
