Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. As a key member of our NICU team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.
  • Participate in nursing Quality Improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
  • Assist with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure that the unit is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of NICU experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Goal and outcome-oriented.
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or Charge Nurse experience.
  • Successful completion of all orientation programs.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • NRP certification.
Scheduling Requirements
  • Full-time.
  • Evening shift.
  • 6:30P-7:30A.
  • 37.5 hours weekly.
  • May be required to work on call, weekends, and holidays.
