We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. As a key member of our NICU team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Nurse Manager in ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.
- Participate in nursing Quality Improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
- Assist with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Ensure that the unit is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of NICU experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Goal and outcome-oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership and/or Charge Nurse experience.
- Successful completion of all orientation programs.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- NRP certification.
- Full-time.
- Evening shift.
- 6:30P-7:30A.
- 37.5 hours weekly.
- May be required to work on call, weekends, and holidays.
