REPORTS TO: Payroll Manager

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Think Power Solutions LLC is in search of a skilled Payroll Analyst to enhance our accounting department. This role is pivotal in managing bi-weekly payroll processes utilizing Paylocity payroll software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Duties

  • Execute and manage bi-weekly payroll across multiple states.
  • Ensure reconciliation, balancing, and transmission of payroll data to Paylocity.
  • Review and balance payroll outputs, performing necessary controls to comply with relevant laws and payroll tax obligations.
  • Accurately compile and submit data to the payroll vendor within established deadlines.
  • Collaborate regularly with Human Resources and Accounting to address and resolve issues in accordance with best practices.
  • Develop, update, and maintain payroll procedures to ensure adherence to Think Power Solutions policies and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Provide backup support for the Payroll Manager to ensure continuity of payroll operations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in reconciling payroll general ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Establish and uphold payroll processes and policies to ensure timely updates and documentation accuracy.
  • Engage in training programs to maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to policies and internal controls.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in payroll.
  • Proficient in Paylocity processing with report writing capabilities.
  • CPP certification is preferred but may be substituted with relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and wage garnishments.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Paylocity processing.
  • Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Ability to generate payroll audit reports within Paylocity.
  • Excellent quantitative and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and accurate project completion.
  • High integrity, self-motivated, and independent.
