Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses client expectations, including the coordination of auditing all necessary financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Evaluate risks and design as well as communicate audit procedures to engagement teams effectively.
  • Utilize RSM's Audit Methodology proficiently.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff members.
  • Recognize the skillsets and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitoring and reviewing their work while providing constructive feedback throughout the process.
  • Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors on engagement teams, facilitating fieldwork by monitoring productivity and adherence to work plan schedules for each assignment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the year to understand the impact of significant developments in their business and assess implications for current audit engagements.
  • Foster the development of others within the Firm by facilitating industry training, advising on career progression, or participating in other Firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed by actively reading industry publications and sharing relevant insights with clients as appropriate.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Comprehend RSM's service lines and, where applicable, discuss opportunities for valuable introductions to other firm resources with client management.
  • Formulate strategies to leverage external relationships with various Centers of Influence to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability effectively.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Spot performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure ongoing professional development through continuous education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the Firm's standards and policies.
  • Willingness to travel as required, depending on client needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Thorough understanding of audit services, including knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
  • A demonstrated history of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful track record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $86,500 - $163,900. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
