Job Overview

The Assistant Manager is a key member of our team at The Cookie Place, Inc., responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of our cookie store. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in maximizing sales and profits within the store, with a total sales responsibility of approximately $350,000 to $1,000,000.
  • Recommend strategies to enhance the marketing of the store and drive sales growth.
  • Ensure that all store operations and customer service objectives are met, in line with The Cookie Place, Inc. standards.
  • Manage all cash handling procedures, including making deposits, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare ingredients for baking and decorating, and operate an oven to bake ingredients within standard constraints.
  • Decorate cookies and cakes with a wide variety of templates, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including preparation areas, to ensure a positive experience for guests.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of retail and/or food service management experience.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • 1-2 years of cake decorating experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to create a positive and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Good verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and guests.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Must be a team player, with a positive and supportive attitude towards colleagues.
  • Must be 18+ years of age.
