About the Role

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Logistics Operations Manager for our Branch Operations group. This role is responsible for overseeing the transportation, inventory control, and distribution of products, parts, and equipment to/from our distribution centers and to our customers for a designated region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management: Ensure the on-time delivery of products to/from distribution centers and to customers.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain efficient warehousing with timely movement of products.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Extract data and generate reports to assist in performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Product Handling Program: Develop and monitor a product handling program to ensure space efficiency, labor efficiency, and first-in-first-out movement.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure proper execution and accurate documentation of order filling, transporting, and delivery/receiving.
  • System Implementation: Implement and effectively utilize systems to ensure accurate identification, distribution, and storage of products.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide input to accounting, production, and scheduling departments to support financial reports, period forecasts, and annual business plan preparation.
  • Policy Enforcement: Develop and ensure department policies are applied accurately and consistently, supporting company policies and procedures.
  • Employee Training: Train and supervise employees to carry out their functions.
  • Delivery Services: Utilize the most reliable and cost-effective delivery services possible.
  • Receiving and Issues: Oversee receiving, issues documentation, and resolve discrepancies with distribution centers and/or the Logistics Department.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports based on data accumulated through the SAP system.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting company standards.
  • Value Creation: Identify opportunities for value creation in the movement and distribution of products.

Experience and Education
  • Experience: 6+ years working in a multi-site distribution center, 2+ years' field logistics experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferred.
