Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Patient Enrollment Coordinator to join our team at the Knoxville Area Project Access. As a key member of our Navigation Specialist team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the healthcare services they need.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen patient calls for eligibility and refer non-eligible patients to other resources
  • Make outbound calls to new patient referrals to schedule intake appointments
  • Schedule and complete patient intake appointments to apply for program enrollment
  • Compile and submit completed patient applications for review and enrollment in the program
  • Diligently document all patient information and interactions into our electronic health record system
  • Complete annual continuing education and training as a Certified Application Counselor for the Health Insurance Marketplace and maintain licensure with the State of Tennessee
  • Maintain accurate records of referral status and provider communication
  • Mail re-enrollment letters and ensure patients have required documentation
  • Achieve or exceed monthly enrollment goals

Requirements:

  • Prioritize excellent customer service skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in healthcare or insurance is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
