Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Tennova Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

About the Role

  • Assist physicians in delivering high-quality patient care and health education tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide excellent customer service by participating in a collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Work closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care, involving families in holistic care approaches.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to manage patient records, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
  • Verify patient demographics, orders, and appointment schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, files, and billing information.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in order entry, phlebotomy, laboratory testing, and specimen preparation.
  • Stay up-to-date with office policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of one year experience in direct patient care is essential.
  • Phlebotomy and laboratory testing experience is a plus.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • BLS/CPR certification is required.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are essential for success in this role.
