Patient Advocacy Specialist - Job Summary:

The Patient Advocacy Specialist provides clinical support, treatment access, education, and coordination of patient-centered care to benefit patients, families, and multidisciplinary physicians. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive optimal outcomes and high-quality care throughout their cancer journey.

Job Description:

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for patients and families, providing emotional support and addressing their concerns.
  • Coordinating patient appointments, including those made with labs, diagnostic areas, and specialty physicians.
  • Facilitating referrals to appropriate support services, such as financial assistance programs and patient advocacy groups.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a valid Tennessee RN license are required. Three (3) years of oncology experience is preferred, along with oncology certification or a willingness to pursue it within three years of employment.
