Position Overview

The Product Development Financial Analyst/Business Partner will collaborate closely with the Product Development team to provide essential business insights and support for strategic initiatives and projects. This role will work in partnership with Product Development leadership to establish Key Performance Indicators by enhancing existing metrics and identifying business trends through comprehensive measurement and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary financial partner to Product Development leadership, offering financial forecasts and performance insights while actively engaging in cross-functional meetings and presenting relevant reports to management.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial budgets and revise financial projections as necessary to monitor project performance and outlook.
  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget/forecast, identifying opportunities for headcount, operating, outsourcing, and expense savings, while providing actionable recommendations to leadership and recognizing potential risks.
  • Participate in monthly reviews, delivering financial insights on key drivers of change and ensuring that results are clearly understood by decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with Product Development to propose scalable business solutions related to planning and budgeting processes.
  • Act as a liaison between the business team and the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as requested by management.
  • Contribute as a member of the Product Development Leadership Team, attending regular staff meetings and participating in team events.
  • Create, maintain, and validate reporting tools for Product Development analysis.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on details while addressing high-level challenges.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, knowledge of accounting principles, documentation, research, resolution, data analysis, and multitasking abilities.
  • Capability to prepare comprehensive financial forecasts and accurately represent financial information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and driving operational initiatives.
  • Aptitude for leadership, setting objectives, influencing others, and achieving results.
