POSITION SUMMARY
  • Role Overview:
    • The Clinical Support Representative plays a vital role within the Berkshire Faculty Services team, which encompasses a diverse range of medical specialties. This position is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of front office activities, thereby facilitating high-quality patient care and exceptional service.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage patient registration and appointment scheduling efficiently.
    • Provide a welcoming reception experience for patients and visitors.
    • Handle payment collections and ensure accurate financial transactions.
    • Direct incoming calls appropriately and maintain effective communication.
    • Address and resolve patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • 1-2 years of administrative experience in a dynamic office environment, preferably within a healthcare setting.
      • Proficient in managing multiple phone lines and handling high call volumes.
      • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced customer service role.
      • Skilled in de-escalating challenging situations.
      • Strong organizational and clerical abilities.
      • Familiarity with Windows-based applications is essential.
      • Preferred knowledge of specific departmental services.
      • Experience with insurance processes and billing is highly desirable.
    • Education:
      • Two years of college education or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
      • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
      • Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute is required.
    • OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
      • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
      • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
      • Capability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
      • Competence in multitasking effectively.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
      • Strong telephone communication skills are necessary.
      • Awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds.
      • Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
      • Knowledge of community resources is advantageous.
      • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate for absences is required.
      • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt within a team setting.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
      • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
