About the Role

Community Health Programs Inc is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at CHP Berkshire Pediatrics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for visits, and accurately obtain and record vital signs.
  • Assist providers with exams, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic treatments as requested.
  • Perform EKGs, prepare laboratory requests, and ensure accurate labeling and recording of specimens.
  • Administer vaccines (if certified) and maintain professional certification.
  • Update patient service profiles, answer and screen calls, and perform clerical duties as needed.
  • Communicate with outside agencies and ensure timely follow-up with patients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program.
  • Massachusetts Certified Medical Assistant Certification is required.
  • Medical office experience and electronic medical records experience are a plus.
