Job Title: Assistant General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Engineering disciplines of the hotel, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality, revenue, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Rooms Division, Food and Beverage Division, and Engineering discipline to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and implement new programs to enhance guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Manage daily inventory to maximize room revenue and ensure budgeted room revenues are met.
  • Supervise the food & beverage department to maintain operational standards and maximize profits.
  • Establish and maintain cost control systems for all rooms and food & beverage related inventories.
  • Participate in the development of short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the hotel.
  • Supervise an ongoing maintenance program to ensure the hotel's internal and external areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor and maintain property-specific cleanliness guidelines.
  • Ensure high associate morale by rewarding team members who meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Oversee the implementation and development of all training programs.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensure complete processing of invoices daily using the A/P process.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to the Corporate Office.
  • Forecast the hotel's financial position by estimating revenues and line-by-line expenses.
  • Prepare and conduct all management interviews and follow hiring procedures according to PAH S.O.P.'s.
  • Perform all department manager performance appraisals according to PAH S.O.P.'s.
  • Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline all personnel according to PAH S.O.P.'s.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance and adhere to PAH Management's Standards.
  • Must be able to maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Must be able to comply with PAH Management Standards and regulations.
  • Must be able to maximize efforts towards productivity and identify problem areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Physical Requirements:
  • Long hours are sometimes required.
  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
