About the Role

Motion Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in a long-term contract opportunity with a well-established Financial Services Company. This is a fantastic chance to work with a leading organization in the industry, leveraging your expertise to design and implement LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for a large enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Participate in the coordination, installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure with a focus on enterprise network, supporting our Data Center exits into a new Data Center operating model.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to end users via troubleshooting skills across both network and system applications.
  • Network Services Integration and Maintenance: Integrate, consolidate & maintain network services across but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices.
  • Design and Implementation of Network Solutions: Coordinate, design, implement and validate in accordance with our latest architectural design standards, implementation, and validation through best practices.
  • Internet Designs and Migrations: Execute internet designs and or migrations during business-approved change green-zones, (non-business hours).
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environments.
  • 3+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static), specializing in implementing DDoS mitigation strategies and configuring ACLs in a large enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, military experience, education.
  • 3+ years of experience with configuration of routing and switching latest platforms and solutions - Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product line.
  • Desired Skills & Experience: CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred - Datacenter.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science / engineering and/or 3+ Years of Networking Experience.
  • Demonstrated skill with creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams.
  • Experience working in a Product/Agile environment utilizing Atlassian Jira products.
  • Experience and familiarity with Change control processes - Service Now.
  • Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio Professional.
  • Experience with regulatory and auditor collaboration.
  • Experience preferred with scripting YAML/Python/Ansible/GITHUB.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly in a high-volume hosting environment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and analyze issues.
  • Ability to coordinate, document and drive flawless execution.
