Position Overview:
In the role of Medical Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks essential for the efficient functioning of our hospital and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Staff Scheduling:** Your primary responsibility will involve creating and managing staffing schedules for our veterinary team, making necessary adjustments in response to unexpected changes.
2. **Administrative Support:** You will provide crucial administrative and clerical assistance to our medical leadership team. This includes:
- Managing calendars and coordinating meetings, including DVM rounds and intern rotations.
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies.
- Processing invoices and handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Serving as the main liaison for relief veterinarians.
- Collaborating with HR and management.
- Preparing presentations, reports, and various communications for the medical leadership team.
Compensation: The wage range for this position is $24-$29 per hour, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
Work Environment: This role primarily requires on-site presence at our hospital, with the flexibility to work remotely up to one day per week on average.

You should have experience in managing complex staff schedules and be highly organized with meticulous attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and respect for the human-animal bond is essential.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in managing complex staff schedules.
- At least 3 years of experience in administrative or customer service roles.
- Preferred experience in a veterinary or medical setting, with familiarity in medical terminology.
- Proficiency in various administrative and scheduling software, including Microsoft Office and practice management tools.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of office administrative procedures.
- Comfort with standard office equipment.
- Ability to interact professionally with executives and staff at all levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
